Bought one of these jackets (along with jeans, boots, and gloves from BGA) Sept last year — just got round to writing this review...
Had my first (and hopefully last) crash in December 2025 when someone pulled out, and I locked up — me and the bike slid about 30ft across the tarmac. The bike had £1,500-worth of damage. I had a sore shoulder and a small graze on my hip where my jacket and jeans parted... that was it. And my jacket and jeans didn't have a mark on them.
I cannot recommend BGA gear, and this jacket in particular, enough. If I wasn't wearing my gear that day, I'd have been in A&E and likely looking at skin grafts all up my left side. Thanks to the quality of this jacket and the jeans, I was sipping Buck's Fizz at home half-hour later.
Aside from doing what it's supposed to do flawlessly, it also looks awesome — with and without the removable sleeveless hoodie.

Nothing like the photos and it arrived damaged. Good luck dealing with the bloke trying to get any problems sorted out. Only given it one star because I had to.
It's really sturdy quality leather and looks good. It has an inner liner that comes out when the weather's warm. Vents to cool you at speed if necessary (they zip shut when it's cold. It's waterproof - I know from experience! The safety padding in the shoulders and arms is a welcome addition too and it can be removed if you are trying to be a little more fashionable and a little less "Hulk!"
